These aluminium mesh sails are freestanding and will be restrained back to the main structural members of the building at each floor level. In so doing, they must remain stable in their own right in relation to the increasing applied wind loads at that height.
The structural verification designs created challenges due to the values of the applied wind loads, with the sails being fixed back to stiffened aluminium window mullions.
The sails are due to be installed in June 2025.
