OFFICES
PRO Structures is able to help with structural design for any aspect of office design, whether it involves internal modifications, conversions or a new build. We have worked on schemes such as converting a Bristol gallery into an estate agents’ office, and can offer related civil engineering services as well. We are also often involved in change of use schemes – most often from office to residential, but also converting agricultural barns for office and commercial use.
Office Building at Moon Street, Bristol
This new five-storey office design featured underground car parking and a central atrium core. The building utilised a contiguous piled basement retaining wall to resist an adjacent building loads and reinforced concrete basement retaining walls to resist the external highway. The superstructure utilised a steel framework with concrete composite floors and masonry external cladding. The roof was of proprietary standing seam steel cladding.
St Georges Court Offices, Bristol
Design for this newly-renovated former church hall with an attached first floor office extension with parking underneath, plus a new three storey office building at the rear of the site, provided PRO Structures’ office design team with several challenges. There are substantial retaining walls directly behind the site which are owned by Bristol City Council and all of the new build and demolition works had to ensure retaining wall stability. The new build elements were essentially steel framed structures with pre-cast concrete floors and masonry cladding.
