We provide structural consultancy services for new commercial developments; refurbishment and change of use projects; bespoke new build residential schemes; volume housing design and façade engineering design verification work.

About you
The successful candidate will be working on and taking ownership of a stimulating variety of projects, interacting with both our clients and directors, with plenty of opportunity to broaden their knowledge base and develop professionally.
Essential – technical knowledge
- MSc in structural / civil engineering plus a minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-graduate work experience
- A goal of achieving Chartership
- A knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and load bearing masonry structures
- Experience with relevant computer software – notably MasterSeries and TEDDS – along with the ability to draw in AutoCAD
- Ability to design to the Eurocodes
Plus…
- Good communication stills and a can-do attitude – you will feel comfortable liaising with both clients and colleagues at all levels
- Commercial awareness
- Eligible to live and work in the UK
- A high standard of written and spoken English
- Full, clean driving license
Desirable
- Façade engineering knowledge
- BIM/REVIT capability and 3D modelling experience
A typical day’s work could include:
- Structural analysis and design across all material with occasional drawing work
- Liaison with the whole project team internally and with clients
- Project management, with increasing responsibility for costs and budget
- Site visits
- Structural surveying and report writing

A competitive salary based on level of experience and included as standard, following successful completion of probationary period:

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 37.5 hours per week. There is flexibility with start and finish times, around the core working hours of Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm, and some hybrid working is possible.
