New 2,745 ft Coaching and Social Facility for the Gloucestershire FA
This scheme forms part of a £260m national investment by the FA in grassroots football, of which the Gloucestershire FA is benefiting from over £1m in order to enable it to deliver the National Game Strategy within the county. In all up to eight new 3G pitches will be supported in the county, along with improvements to over 50 grass pitches and the provision of coaches and other schemes to encourage both volunteering and wider community participation in football.
Working closely with GSH Architects, PRO Structures is providing structural engineering design for a timber frame main facility building, which will include changing, social and catering facilities, along with foundation, substructure and ground floor design, as well as the entrance canopy. We will also be providing civil engineering services in terms of site drainage and access road design. The timber frame is being designed by a specialist manufacturer, for which we are providing coordination services.
At PRO Structures we are delighted to support sporting and community schemes. The FA’s Chief Executive for Gloucesteshire, David Neale, commented: “The FA’s investment means we can sustain our workforce and deliver more for the benefit of grassroots football in Gloucestershire.”
The scheme is currently at design stage and will go on site in spring 2017.
Projected completion: March 2018
