We are delighted to be undertaking the structural engineering design for a development of 5 new two- and three-storey townhouses on a former garage site in South Road, Bedminster, Bristol.
During design, we became aware that the site was predominantly filled in, and so we are designing piled foundations with reinforced suspended ground beams to counter the effects of poor ground. We are working closely with the client and their contractor, Sager Construction Ltd, to undertake value engineering savings to potentially minimise build costs.
This scheme was commissioned by our client, the Hatt family, and build costs are estimated at around £800,000.
