New one-stop-shop vet’s practice and surgery in Wells
PRO Structures has provided the civil and structural design for a new veterinary practice in Cathedral Park, Wells, for D+B firm BJ Campbell.
This 1,850 sq ft practice, which is a single storey steel portal framed building, opened to the public in October 2018. It consists of a reception area, waiting room, three consulting rooms, and X-ray room, one surgery, a cattery and kennels, as well as staff facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for PRO Structures to demonstrate our skills in designing buildings with specific requirements. We also designed in the use of permeable asphalt with granular stone make-up for the car park in order to comply with the SUDS site attenuation needs, as well as a high loading suspended ground floor slab, to raise the level of the building due to the risk of localised flooding.
