The architectural brief for this project involves demolishing an existing single-storey stable to build a new two-storey residential property over the same footprint with the lower ground floor level being formed via a large subterranean dig. We were asked to provide the substructure and superstructure design for the development which incorporates stone gabion retaining wall designs, reinforced concrete raft slab design and traditional loadbearing masonry design with cut timber roofing. Excavation of this subterranean build commenced in early October 2024 with completion expected in December 2025.
