May 2013 – Crown Hill on the way up
This luxury development of five bespoke villas for Charlcombe Homes is well underway, with superstructure shell and core 60% complete as we enter May. This follows the successful completion of their Lansdown Ridge project, where Phase 1 has already all been sold.
April 2013 – Brade Drive Retirement Village reaches its final phase
On this scheme, to provide six retirement bungalows, piling works have been completed and the reinforced concrete ground beam installation is ongoing. Phase 2, providing 13 bungalow units, is nearing completion, and Phase 1 has been handed over.
March 2013 – Marsden Road, Bath
Construction underway The substructure and drainage design for three new terraced timber framed apartment buildings in Bath started in March. February 2013 – Barton Road, St Philips, completed This triangular four-storey apartment block, for St George’s Homes, was completed in February 2013. The block houses ten apartments with one, two or three bedrooms, and a set-back top floor apartment. January 2013 – New lift well for Claremont Residential Care Home
Work will be commencing to build a new external lift well for this care home soon.
October 2012 – All stations go at Crown Hill, Bath – groundworks complete and superstructure in progress
After a very busy summer, we’re pleased to say that the groundworks for all five mansions are now complete, and work on the superstructure is underway. We’re sure it won’t be long before there will be five new extremely happy home owners gazing down on Bath and the Box Valley from their beautiful new properties!
July 2012 – PRO Structures are reappointed by Charlcombe Homes as Crown Hill gets underway
Following the successful completion of Lansdown Ridge, a development of four high profile luxury homes overlooking the Box Valley and city of Bath, PRO Structures is delighted to be acting as structural engineer on Charlcombe Homes’ next scheme at Crown Hill, adjacent to Ensleigh Lodge, for five more prestigious, low carbon and equally bespoke mansions. With five bedrooms apiece, each signature home will enjoy stunning views over the valley and a contemporary, modern design. Construction has started on the foundations and civil engineering enabling works, with the superstructure to follow in the next few months.

April 2012 – PRO Structures appointed on Crown Hill
Following the successful completion of our work on Lansdown Ridge (below), Charlcombe Homes has now appointed us as structural engineer on their next undertaking – another exclusive development of five bespoke detached villas at the Crown Hill development on Granville Road, also in Bath. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Charlcombe Homes as this project gets underway.
March 2012 – Lansdown Ridge opens for viewings
One of our flagship projects for the year is an exclusive development of four 5-bedroom detached luxury homes in Lansdown, Bath, with panoramic views over the Swainswick and Box Valleys. PRO Structures was the structural engineer for this scheme, whose buildings utilise piled foundations with insulated concrete walling for their superstructure support. We have liaised closely with the architect to guarantee the high specification needed for these homes, providing best value designed concepts while meeting a challenging aesthetic brief. The design team enjoyed a pre-launch party to celebrate the completion of the first two houses at the end of March. We just wished we could all move in!
February 2012 – structural design complete for The Cottages, Mount Pleasant Estate, Coventry
We have recently completed the structural design on three new 3-storey apartment blocks in Coventry, which will include 14 apartments in all. They represent an interesting blend of traditional construction with suspended precast concrete flooring. We were delighted to have won this new commission for Hall Bros Builders, following the success of our work with them on Brade Drive Retirement Village.
January 2012 – PRO Structures appointed preferred supplier to Homeworx
Homeworx Design and Build has chosen PRO Structures as their preferred structural engineer to work alongside them within their portfolio of associated professionals. Homeworx, who specialise in top-end renovation, refurbishment and interior design, as well as new build housing, chose us following the successful completion of several projects, noting that PRO Structures has never let them down, and has always provided high quality solutions at a competitive rate.
November 2011 – foundation work underway at Water Lane Development, Wotton-under-Edge, for Elan Homes
A two-storey industrial building on the site has been demolished to create a terrace of ten houses with a two-storey apartment block on the end. PRO Structures are advising on the substructure and external retaining wall issues, and the building foundation work is currently underway.
October 2011 – 213 A Bath Road, Cheltenham, handed over
This 2-storey infill development, L-shaped on plan, presented PRO Structures with several interesting sub-structure and structural design issues. With buildings on both sides, we were working in constrained circumstances, and needed to find innovative foundation design solutions while also endeavouring to cause minimum disruption to the neighbouring buildings. This project was completed in autumn 2011.
September 2011 – construction starts at 51 Barton Road, St Philips, Bristol
This new four-storey apartment block is a interesting triangular building (as viewed on plan), which will house ten apartments with one, two or three bedrooms. The top floor will be set back, and the apartment block is being constructed from load-bearing masonry walls with suspended flooring. Construction is currently underway, and PRO Structures is proud to have provided the sub- and superstructure structural design.
September 2011 – Phase 2 gets underway at Brade Drive Retirement Village, Coventry
Phase 1 is nearing completion, and for Phase 2, comprising 13 bungalow units and a small community centre, the reinforced concrete substructure work has now started on site.

PRO Structures has completed the structural design works on a new 24-plot housing scheme in Wales called The Oaks Treharris for Elan Homes.

Finally, Pro Structures has recently been appointed by St James Parade to undertake the structural design to replace the Bullfinch Inn, Innsworth, Gloucester with eleven new houses.
‘Work Safe Consultant’ Accreditation gained
PRO Structures successfully underwent a the Safety Management Advisory Service (SMAS) assessment of our H&S Management systems in accordance with Stage 1 Core Criteria Requirements last year. We achieved ‘Work Safe Consultant’ accreditation by the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP), and this has been renewed for 2011 – 2012.
‘ConstructionLine’ Registration Achieved
In addition we have gained ‘ConstructionLine’ registration, pre-qualifying the company to the required Governmental standards for potential clients and proving we are fit to supply the services we offer. This has also been renewed for 2011 – 2012.
