A brand new community and sports pavilion for Patchway
Patchway Town Council wanted to enhanced their community facilities on their local municipal cricket ground, and obtained Sport England funding in order to transform an outdated cricket pavilion into a brand new, multi-purpose community space.
Designed by the Bush Consultancy, and constructed by Melhuish and Saunders Ltd, the new community pavilion in Norman Scott Park features a café, four new changing rooms, bathrooms, a viewing terrace and also a small office for Council use.
The pavilion now provides much need facilities for local sports teams, designed to Sport England standards.
PRO Structures was proud to provide the civil and structural engineering design for the project. The building, built using loadbearing masonry, utilised timber trusses with steel roof/wall support beams. We also undertook the new foul surface water drainage strategy design, utilising large underground rainwater attenuation storage tanks.
Completed Autumn 2022.
