Full renovation of state of the art family home in North Somerset
This stunning two-storey bungalow conversion involved enhancing and fully refurbishing a traditional family home, in order to maximize its value while keeping it within the ownership of the family who inherited it.
Structurally very complex, PRO Structures worked with Andrew Minto Architecture and refurbishment, design and build specialists Cornerstone, to renovate internally and extend by cutting into the hillside to create a patio garden with double garage below at lower ground level, as well as creating a new access to the property at the front.
The garage design created specific challenges, as converting the existing single garage, which did not encroach on the original house design, into a double one which reached further back under the renovated and extended home, required extra steel beams to be fitted at the rear of the garage, to partially support the weight of the house above.
The internal space was also remodelled to enable a better flow through the building, and our client was delighted with the result.
