Five-bedroom mansion for Spring Homes

Construction of a bespoke detached mansion on Southfield Road for Spring Homes on the site of the former tennis courts adjacent to Redmaids School in Westbury on Trym in North Bristol was completed in April 2018. The beautiful dwelling, which boasts five bedrooms and an integrated garage, was designed by Angus Meek Architects and built by contractor B J Campbell (SW) Ltd.

PRO Structures provided all the civil and structural engineering designs to create this bespoke luxury mansion. Interesting challenges we encountered along the way included the need to design in an 11m3 underground surface water attenuation tank for Wessex Water SuDs drainage approval, along with the mansard roof bedroom area utilising a cranked steel framework to create more uninterrupted living space in this location.

This is the second successful partnership that we have undertaken with this BJ Campbell and Angus Meek, the first being a shop conversion to residential units at 4 Hanham Road in Bristol.

Projected completion: April 2018
